My Mission
Hello!
My name is Ireland Fricke, and I have been riding horses for over 15 years. From the moment I sat on a horse for the first time, I knew this sport would become my passion. Horses have shaped who I am, teaching me patience, resilience, compassion, and the importance of building true partnerships based on trust and respect.
I began competing when I was 13 years old in the hunters, and later changed to showjumping. Through years of showing, I gained invaluable experience and developed a deep appreciation for the dedication that equestrian sport requires. As my journey has continued, my priorities have shifted. While I still love the challenge and excitement of competition, my greatest passion has become promoting ethical horsemanship and helping create a better future for our sport.
I founded Éire Equestrian with one goal in mind: to build a positive, welcoming community where riders feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to reach their goals without ever compromising the welfare of the horse. I believe that success should never come at the expense of kindness, patience, or ethical training. Every horse deserves to be treated with respect, and every rider deserves instruction that builds confidence, knowledge, and genuine horsemanship.
Whether I'm teaching a first lesson, helping a rider prepare for competition, or working with a horse to build confidence and correct fundamentals, I strive to create an environment where both horse and rider can learn, grow, and enjoy the journey together. Every partnership is unique, and I love helping each team reach their full potential at a pace that is fair and sustainable.
For me, equestrianism is about so much more than ribbons or results. It's about developing lifelong skills, building meaningful relationships with our horses, and continually learning how to become better horsemen and horsewomen. My mission is to help riders achieve their goals while always putting the horse first, and to contribute to a more ethical, supportive, and compassionate equestrian community for generations to come.
